Jackie Armitage knows her dogs! - this has been evident by the overall positive, physical and behavioural changes that have happened in leaps and bounds in our eight month old puppy, Buddy. When we first got Buddy, he was a very aggressive and insecure dog due to the conditions of his previous home. His destructive behaviour put so much stress on our family that we were concerned about being able to keep him. Obedience schools didn't help. We found Jackie by word-of-mouth and she accepted Buddy into doggie daycare. Thanks to Jackie's intuitive knowledge and experience, within days, we saw a vast improvement in Buddy's overall demeanour - he has now become a playful, properly socialized puppy! Jackie and her team at AJ's Doghouse genuinely care about dogs, and we feel so lucky to have found AJ's Doghouse, where Buddy gets the one-on-one attention, and people and dog socialization that is vital to a healthy canine.

I’m writing this letter to talk about the incredible job that Jackie and the staff do at A.J.’s Dog House. So often people are not given the appropriate thanks when they do a remarkable job and they must rely on the personal rewards they experience when they know they have worked hard to make a difference. The people of A.J’s genuinely care about the animals that are left in their care and they take personal pride in making a difference with their dogs.
I started bringing my Yorkshire Terrier puppy Henry to A.J.’s last year when he was just a baby. Over the past year, Jackie and her staff have consistently gone beyond my expectations in providing Henry with love, attention, and training. He has become a different dog since socializing with other dogs of his size, and follows routines much better than he did before coming to daycare. I also must thank Jackie personally for all the good advice she gives me about Henry. She really knows dogs and she really cares about them each individually. What a rare and special place it is a A.J.’s Dog house.
Keep up the fantastic job, and thank you so much.

When I was offered a deaf Great Dane puppy, I called Jackie to discuss what would be involved and to see if I could cope with the commitment. Following our discussion, I decided to adopt the puppy who turned out to be a wonderful, well adjusted dog. Nemo leads a normal life and his off leash obedience and responsiveness are amazing - a big part of this is due to his socialization and learning as a young puppy at AJ's. Most daycares will not take deaf dogs but Jackie and her staff at AJ's saw this as a wonderfully challenging opportunity to practice what they teach about canine communication. My big boy loves going to AJ's where he has friends to play with, and feels safe and cared for.
